Stand with Dennis and Tom

Dear Montgomery County Democrats,

This past Friday, our county became the center of the Republican Party’s war on voting rights when Jon Husted threatened to fire our Democrats on the Board of Elections, Dennis Lieberman and Tom Ritchie, because they voted in favor of having weekend hours at the Board of Elections.

Secretary of State Husted has sunk so low as to use threats and intimidation to suppress voters. Over 29,000 voters in Montgomery County took advantage of early voting hours in 2008, and Dennis and Tom stood up for us so we can have these same rights again.

This morning Dennis and Tom were called in for a hearing with the Secretary of State’s office, and we will learn their fate any minute now.

Will you stand with Dennis and Tom by donating $5, $10, or $25 to the Party now? Please visit our contribution page or send a check to Democratic HQ, written out to the Montgomery County Democratic Party to 131 S Wilkinson St., Dayton, OH 45402. We will help Dennis and Tom with their legal fees and get the word out that Jon Husted and the Republican Party are working to suppress voters in Montgomery County.

Mark Owens, Chair
Montgomery County Democratic Party

PS: Our office is open Monday-Friday, please come volunteer and drop off your donation this week!
