EMERGENCY PHONE BANKS!!!

On Monday Feb 28 and Wednesday March 2 we will be calling neighbors in Montgomery County asking the to help protect our Union Brothrs and Sister's rights to collective Bargain in opposition to SB 5. Please come help at the MCDP HQ phone banks will start both days at 5:30 pm.

Canvassing is also in the planning stages....Details to come.

Mass Mobilization!!!!

The 4th hearing in committee is scheduled for this Tuesday March 1st at 9:30 am.  There could be a vote following the hearing!!  we need to mobilize to rally in Columbus!!!  If you have to work-call in sick, if you have class-skip it!!  This is a showdown and our brothers and sisters need our help NOW!! 

The buses will be provided again at the same locations.  The departure time will be much earlier, not confirmed but I see it being around 7am.  I am on a call at 9:30 am and will have verified departure times then.   We have a bus in Middletown and 1 in Dayton.  I will not be recruiting for the Cincy bus rather the Middletown bus.

This rally has to be much larger than the first to get our point across.  Please, please come, if you can't catch one of the buses please carpool.

Rally to Defend Women's Health

On Sunday, February 27^th, there will be a rally to defend Women’s Health in Hamilton, Ohio. The rally will take place outside Planned Parenthood, located at 11 Ludlow Ave. This Planned Parenthood is the only Title X provider in John Boehner’s district. This Planned Parenthood is under threat because right now House Republicans are working to cut Title X funding. Planned Parenthood uses this funding to provide low-income women with well-woman exams, contraception, cancer screenings, and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections.

If you are interested in attending the rally and standing up for Women’s health, we will be gathering at HQ at 9:30am to make signs, and then will head down to Hamilton around 10:30am. The rally begins around noon and should last until 3pm. Carpooling is an option. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Meg Cole at meglcole@gmail.com

Columbus Rally on Tuesday

Hello everyone,

There will be a rally on Tuesday, February 22 at the State House in Columbus to protest against Senate Bill 5. There will be two buses leaving the Dayton area to take folks to the rally and then back home. The buses will depart from AFSCME HQ which is located at 15 Gates St in the Oregon District at 10:30am. You can park and leave your car at AFSCME as long as you do not park in the reserved spots. Because there are only two buses, you MUST RSVP to get a seat. Please RSVP to Ron Irvine at IrvineR@dnc.org.
