Filing Deadline To Run for Central Committee is February 18th
Anyone interested in running to represent their precinct on the Montgomery County Democratic Party’s Central Committee has until February 18th to file with the Board of Elections. At our December meeting, the Central Committee of the Democratic Party approved the use of the Declaration of Candidacy form to be filled out and signed by the candidate.
Candidates for Central Committee will appear on the ballot during the May 4th primary. If elected, precinct captains will represent their precinct on the party’s Central Committee, be granted voting power on matters related to candidate and issue endorsements, and be tasked with campaigning and disseminating election information to the voters in their precincts.
The Declaration of Candidacy forms are available at the Montgomery County Board of Elections located at 451 W Third St. and at Democratic Headquarters located at 131 S Wilkinson St.
